Allergies and Skin Conditions | Histamine Gene Defects

⁣Our topic today is allergies and skin conditions. This can be a histamine genetic defect. Histamine initiates an inflammatory response and that's where we get the symptoms of allergies or a skin reaction. The highest concentrations of Histamine in the body are found in the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, and the skin. When Histamine is secreted, it stimulates gastric acid production and the white blood cells are capable of contracting pathogens. The DAO enzyme breaks down histamine to maintain homeostasis and Histamine balance. The Histamine and DAO balance is crucial to maintain gastrointestinal and skin health. Excess Histamine can be correlated to genetic mutations, leaky gut, allergies, and just an individual's diet. Side note, gliadin, which is found in wheat, can also be involved with mast cell function and the secretion of Histamine. That can also be what releases the Zonulin and can contribute to leaky gut.

These are just a couple of the main Histamine genes that we look at during a genetic review. The genetic mutations found in the ABP one and the HNMT are potential indicators for elevated Histamine. Increased Histamine levels can result in heart palpations, low blood pressure, hypertension, fatigue, anxiety, joint pain, irritable bowel syndrome, stomach ulcers, adrenal gland fatigue, and altered sleep patterns. What we can do to fix it is avoid Histamine foods, of course, but then these three products can also support those genes. Histamine Scavenger promotes the reduction of harmful histamine accumulation, Natural D-Hist supports seasonal challenges caused by common environmental allergens and HistaClear, which addresses the DAO enzyme to balance the histamine load. Vitamin B Deficiency and Genes: Stress, Panic Attacks, Brain Health, and more!

⁣Hello everyone, this is Anne with Conners Clinic and today we're going to talk about B Vitamins. B Vitamins are a key player in maintaining optimal health and keeping you energized. They catalyze numerous metabolic reactions throughout the body by acting as coenzymes for the release of energy. And the energy that is released with the assistance of B Vitamins is called ATP. ATP is what our cells use again as energy to perform all of their complicated functions. B Vitamins are made up of eight different vitamins that are water soluble. This means that they're excreted from the body on a daily basis, so they must be replenished. How do we replenish our B Vitamins? Well we get them from the variety of different fruits and vegetables that we eat, from the foods that we eat. And we also can produce them through our gut microbiome.

So if you're not eating a healthy whole foods diet or if you have gut dysbiosis, chances are you're not getting adequate B Vitamins. And here's a list of some of the functions that B Vitamins are involved in: helping to regulate the thyroid, helping support the immune system, protecting the heart and blood vessels, reducing the risk of developing cataracts. B vitamins help support healthy hair, skin and nails, and they help regulate stress and mood. So it's one of the supplements that we use a lot here at Conners Clinic as one of the pieces that are a foundational piece to helping support people who are coming to us with a myriad of different symptoms. We'll assess the B Vitamins, make sure they're getting them through their diet. And sometimes we do need to take the next step and really add some support with a supplement.

When we're looking at the genetic pathways, here are a few of the pathways that we look at. It's kind of hard to see, but you can see in some of the little green fine print we see tons of B Vitamins listed. These are cofactors to get all of these reactions to occur. So there is definitely a genetic component. Maybe if you have a defect on a specific gene, something's not quite working properly. But also if you don't have enough B Vitamins to help these reactions to occur, you potentially are going to have some ill health.

The supplement that we use here at Conners Clinic, it's a naturally sourced Vitamin B. It does not have B12 because B12 is really something that we like to look at the person as an individual and make a recommendation based on that specific person. We have methylated versions or non methylated versions and depending on whether or not you're a cancer patient, if you have genetic variants, or different symptoms, we'll make a different recommendation on the type of the 12th that you should use. Just recently Monsanto was slapped with another giant lawsuit. This is actually their third lawsuit of people who are making claims that their cancer is caused by RoundUp. RoundUp is their major weed killer that's in just about everything now, in our food supply. And this couple both had Hodgkin's lymphoma, and brought a $2 billion dollar lawsuit. If these lawsuits keep coming, it could be bankruptcy for Monsanto/Bayer, Bayer bought Monsanto out. Big time really bad for you. If you're still using RoundUp you guys, you have to stop."

But using your own homemade weed-be-gone with vinegar, epsom salt, and Dawn dish soap has been great for us. Don't use RoundUp! Stress and Cancer - 60 Second Cancer Update

⁣This is Dr. Kevin Conners with a 60 Second Cancer Update from Conners Clinic, and Alternative Cancer Treatment center. Today we're going to talk about Stress and Cancer. We all know that stress is not good for us. How does that affect us with cancer? Well stress affects our HPA Axis, the Hypothalamus Pituitary Adrenal Axis. So when we are under just acute stress (we're not talking about prolonged stress), we make cortisol. And the benefit of cortisol is it can help decrease inflammation. So cortisol is a natural anti-inflammatory. That's a good thing! Acute stress could be a good thing. But the problem is we don't have just acute little episodes of stress every few days. We have prolonged stress that goes on all day long, or multiple episodes per day. So that is a totally different story. Prolonged stress does not increase cortisol production.

It ends up being the opposite of that: it decreases cortisol production because our adrenals are stressed out. Our receptors for cortisol are stressed out symptoms, similar to insulin receptor problems in diabetics. So when we can't have that same response to stress, we end up with prolonged stress that decreases cortisol production and increases inflammation. Inflammation is the enemy to cancer. Prolonged inflammation that isn't counterbalanced with a good balance of cortisol causes this damage in the HPA Axis, damage in the cells receptors for cortisol, damage in our adrenal function. So our adrenal is are basically worn out with prolonged stress and that adrenal dysfunction does not decrease our inflammation. Bottom line is, we end up with this ramped up inflammation. We have this constant inflammatory process which we could say is often the root of many many of our diseases, not just cancer, constant ramped up inflammation. So what do we do about it? Bottom line, deal with the stress of your life. Find some way as an outlet for your stress. Support your adrenal glands, support your HPA Axis, consider adaptogenic herbs to help keep hormones balanced. You'll find more of this on our website and on our blogs in our store. They are the cleanup of the cell.

Well the thought was, if we could get these lysosomes to break down and thereby spill all their contents in the cell, they would effectively stimulate apoptosis and stimulate cell death. This study focused on that: "How can we weaken the lysosomal membrane." So what they did is they found that antihistamines, and in this case they used Clemastine which is an antihistamine that readily crosses the blood brain barrier because they were dealing with a brain cancer, but they found that antihistamines would break down that lysosomal barrier and spill its enzymes, all the digestive enzymes that are in lysosomes, would spill it into the cells and stimulate apoptosis thereby causing the cell to die.

So they felt that they could help kill cancer cells, glioblastoma cells which are one of the most aggressive brain cancers we have today, by using a simple over-the-counter antihistamine. Well the theory is is that we could use natural antihistamines as well! So using natural antihistamines, and I have multiple videos and blog posts on histamines and cancer not just with brain cancer but breast cancer and other cancers, that it's been proven that histamine is a stimulator to cancer because it protects that lysosomal barrier. By breaking down that barrier, we are in effect spilling digestive enzymes into the cell and causing the cell death. The interesting thing about this study is that healthy cells were protected. It didn't have that same effect on healthy cells. This is really cool, go read my blog about it called Histamine and Cancer. It's just another possible thing to add to your cancer protocol.

⁣Nutritionist and genetic specialist Anne with Conners Clinic talks about acetylcholine. What is acetylcholine and why is it important? Acetylcholine is the most plentiful neurotransmitter in the human body. It's the neural transmitter that sends signals to our muscles so they can activate and move our bodies. And it's also a neural transmitter that is essential for brain health because of its involvement in thought, learning, and memory. It's so important for our brains that a deficit of Acetylcholine is linked to Alzheimer's disease. It's the neurotransmitter that actually tells the hippocampus to store a memory.

Acetylcholine is made in our neurons and the nutrient cholene is required for its production. You can get cholene in the foods that you eat, like eggs and meat, and your body can also make cholene by way of the PEMT gene. And there's two things that influenced the PEMT gene. First is estrogen, the hormone estrogen, and the second is variance in the PEMT gene. So estrogen is what's going to turn on the PEMT gene. And then variants in the PEMT make it so that the gene is not working to its full potential. So if you have low estrogen and/or variance in the PEMT gene and your body is not producing enough cholene, which then obviously can lead to low Acetylcholine production. I think it's also important to note that there are studies that show that high intake of cholene by pregnant women results in higher cognitive performance of the developing child for his or her entire life. And it really can reduce the risk of that child ever developing dementia later in life. So it's super important for pregnant women to take cholene for, obviously brain health for the developing babies, and it's also really important for vegans to supplement with cholene since the foods that are highest sources of calling tend to be animal products.
